PREMIUM ENFACT® TEXT NOTIFICATIONS

Premium EnFact® text notifications are a feature to our debit card Fraud Monitoring.

With text fraud alerts, if our system detects suspicious activity on your debit card, you’ll receive a text message with details about the suspected transaction. All you have to do is respond to the text to confirm the transaction, and you can carry on with the purchase or payment by initiating another transaction. If you indicate the transaction is fraud, you’ll receive another message with a number to call so further action can be taken. It’s quick, easy, and lets you stay confident while using your Miners Exchange Bank debit card.

Debit Cardholders are automatically enrolled in this service, and as long as we have your current cell phone number on file, there is no action you need to take. Please be sure we have your current cell phone number on file so you can take full advantage of this service.

All texts will be from short code 37268.

You could be contacted via text message or a phone call. Miners Exchange Bank does not charge for the service, but message and data rates may apply. These charges are normally from your data provider. You have the ability to opt-out of the service at any time by replying “STOP” to the short code 37268.

******Customer Notice******

MINERS EXCHANGE BANK WILL NEVER INITIATE CONTACT AND ASK FOR PERSONAL INFORMATION SUCH AS USERNAMES, PASSWORDS, AND FULL SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS OVER THE PHONE, BY TEXT, OR THROUGH EMAIL.

Miners Exchange Bank has been notified by several customers recently about incoming phone calls that display (276) 395-2230 on caller ID. The content of these calls has varied but most have asked for some form of sensitive information. While this is the phone number of our Coeburn office, these calls have not been initiated by or on behalf of Miners Exchange Bank or any of our employees. These calls are most likely a scam designed to trick our customers into giving out their personal information, specifically by spoofing the bank’s primary telephone number. If you receive such a call and are unsure about its authenticity, ask the caller to provide their name and tell them you will call the bank back. Do not use any contact information provided by the caller. Customers can find phone numbers and address for all of our offices on the Contact Us section of our website.

For more information about these types of attacks, tips to protect your information, and contact information to report scams or identity theft, visit the Customer Awareness section of our website.
